"When life is good on the inside, life gets good on the outside."
Many people live blaming others or the system for the things that happen to them, others complain to themselves of the decisions they made and think that life has not been kind to them. It is sad that many people are leading the wrong life, that they are struggling to achieve their dreams and goals, and they are not succeeding. They wonder where is my life going?
Famous baseball player Yogi Berra once said, "If you don't know where you are going, you could end up somewhere else." I can ask you a question that I ask my students How do you want to end your life? Do you want to be remembered as someone who lived life or someone who consumed the oxygen of the planet who does not know what he lives for?
The thought above says that if your inner life is good, then your outer life will show it. And when we talk about the inner life we not only refer to the spiritual, it also includes the mind and emotions. My mind and emotions influence my external behavior.
I invite you to do the following exercise: Think about something good that has happened to you recently, and ask yourself the following questions: How were my thoughts? What emotions were triggered? How was my performance?
Now think of something bad, something that you did not like and ask yourself the same questions. You sure didn't like your performance. Your mood changes according to the situation or circumstance that you are living.
Everything in life is a matter of control. Our nature is to want to control everything and live life our way, if you continue like this you will end up badly. We want to control God, control people and control situations, and what happens is that when we act like this we live in a lack of control, life slips out of our hands and tragedies occur. What is your tragedy?
Tragedies make many people unhappy and if you want to achieve happiness you must stop ruining your thoughts. The thoughts can control them. Your mind feeds on the thoughts you give it. Your actions are the results of your thoughts. How to control your thoughts?
“For the rest, brothers, all that is true, all that is honest, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is kind, all that is of good name; if there is any virtue, if anything worthy of praise, think of this. " Philippians 4: 8 (KJV)
We are invited to think about what is true, what is pure, what is good. This passage is the standard for filtering our thoughts. From here it depends on whether my life is on the right track. I choose the kinds of thoughts I want to have. If I have a good choice in my thoughts, I will show a good attitude towards life. If I have a good attitude I will be able to plan better. If I plan better I will have a better time to live and I will know where I want to go. If I have a better time to live and I know where I want to go, it means that I live in victory. God always keeps his Word.
“You will keep in complete peace the one whose mind remains on you; because he has trusted you ”. Isaiah 26: 3 (KJV)
You can take responsibility for your life and stop blaming others or blaming yourself for tragedies. Today is a good day to choose good thoughts and design good actions that lead to the life God designed for you. You are a winner or winner!
In love and leadership,
