As I get older, I realize more how important time is. I realize that today is the day I live. Today I know what is possible in my life. Today I can be and do what I want. Will be worth? Will my time be worth it? Can I be happy with how I live today? Am I getting ready for my mornings? Am I preparing for my eternity?

Today when I woke up, I realized that this is one of the best days of my life. There have been times when I wondered if I could prevail through the day… but I did. And because I did, I'm going to celebrate. Today, I am going to celebrate the incredible life I have had so far; the achievements, the many blessings and yes, even the difficulties as they have made me stronger. I will spend the day with my head held high. I will have a happy heart. I will marvel at the simple gifts of God: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees, and the birds. Today I will see all these wonderful creations in their fullness.

Today I will share my enthusiasm for life with others. I will make someone smile; I'll make someone laugh I will go the extra mile to do a kind deed to someone I don't know. Today I will give a sincere compliment to someone who looks bummed. I will tell a child how special he is. I will tell someone I love how much it means to me. Today I will stop worrying about what I don't have and give thanks for the many blessings that are mine. I will remember that worrying is a waste of time because my faith in God and His divine plan guarantee that everything will be okay.

And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and lift my eyes to the skies. I will marvel at the beauty of the stars and the moon and praise God for these magnificent treasures. At the end of the day and resting my head on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty Creator for the best day of my life. I will sleep the dream of the happy child; excited with expectations because I know that tomorrow could be, yes, my best day ...

There is no doubt that the author of today's thought hits the mark by stating that our best day is precisely today! Although yesterday we could have experienced many blessings, these are already history and they will not be able to feed our lives more than the manna of the previous day could feed the people of Israel in the desert on the way to Canaan. The Bible affirms that God's mercies are new every morning, so we can be convinced that each day brings wonderful blessings from a creative God. For that reason we do not have to long for a time that happened when we walked alongside the Savior.

Go ahead and may God continue to bless you.
