"More thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ Jesus, and through us manifests in every place the smell of his knowledge" II Cor 2:14

How much concern we have every day to give off a good smell in the taxi or at our work. Colognes, perfumes and scents are made precisely to satisfy that human need for good looks. However, today I need to be aware that there is another smell that is not physical and is not perceived with the natural smell.

It is the smell of the knowledge of God.

The Apostle Paul talks about this in today's verse. Paul thanks God who always leads us in triumph in Christ Jesus and through us manifests in every place the smell of his knowledge. The smell indicates the state of things. A fresh smell shows us that something is radiant and alive ... a foul smell tells us that something has lost life or freshness. The smell indicates the state of something.

The apostle Paul tells me today that the state of spiritual triumph over temptations, anguishes and disappointments will manifest in me the smell of his knowledge. The state of defeat, loneliness, bitterness and disappointment will produce not a smell of knowledge, but a smell of death, because something inside me will have died.

Although I try to give a good physical smell, I do not need to make an effort to give a good smell or a bad smell from inside my heart, because I will not be able to avoid it ... the smell will come out- But the Scripture says, that Today, I must give Thanks to God, because God always leads us in triumph and through us he will make manifest the smell of his knowledge.

How much do I know about Jesus? How much do I know of his love and kindness?

How much do I know of his triumph on the cross that profoundly affects my daily life?

Am I already giving off the smell of his knowledge by knowing everything that He has done for me? The world that will surround me today is tired of bad smells and wants to enjoy today the smell of his knowledge that comes from his triumph on the cross and applied to my life today.

Lord, I started the day today without realizing the triumph on the cross and how that affects me in my daily life. I worried more about giving off a good smell through aromas and I forgot that if I know you more I will give off the smell of your knowledge for many who are already losing their spiritual sense of smell. Thank you, because your word tells me today that you always lead me in triumph in Christ Jesus and that for this reason others will be able to perceive the smell of your knowledge. Why carry the smell of death and despair if there is already enough of that in the world ... but you want me to carry the smell of your knowledge everywhere and I will do it depending absolutely on you.

Thank you Lord, Amen.
