Of Jacob she will dwell alone in a land of grain and wine, her heavens also will drop dew. Deuteronomy 33:28.

The more isolated we are from the world, the safer we will live. God wants a people separated from sinners. His invitation is: "Come out of their midst." A Christian world is something so strange that not even the Scriptures suspect it. A worldly Christian is sick of the soul. Those who make a covenant with the enemies of Christ can be seen as his allies. Our security is, not in making a pact with the enemy, but in remaining alone with our best friend.

In this way we will live confidently despite the sarcasm, the slanders and the scorn of the world. We will be freed from the pernicious influence of their unbelief, pride, vanity, and corruption. God will cause us to live confidently alone in that day when the nations will be visited by sin with wars and famines.

The Lord brought Abraham out of Ur of the Chaldeans, but he stayed in the middle of the field. He was not accompanied by God's blessing until he had decided to go to the land of Canaan. But he lived alone and confident in the midst of enemies. Lot was not safe in Sodom, although he was among friends. Our security is in living alone with God. It is the Company of God who will give me total confidence.

Sir thank you. YOUR love is more than enough to experience trust in the midst of turmoil. Amen.
