Are you afraid of success or failure? Have you ever wondered why you do not achieve what you set out to do? You have surely wondered and the most likely thing is that you will not try again.
Let's define Fear of Success: Fear of ending some dependency, towards something or towards someone. The word success is associated with leaving, achieving, ending and ending the dependency on anything. For example, many are afraid of getting out of poverty, or are afraid of ending a relationship where they are abused or mistreated for fear of being left alone, and thus many are afraid of the future, not taking the steps they have to take, hoping that the conditions are perfect, that is what would be defined as fear of failure.
Who wants to fail? Surely none, we all want to be successful. Sometimes in life to be successful we must give ourselves permission to fail. We can learn several lessons from failure, but the main one is this: we learn how not to do it that way.
You should know that we owe the invention of the electric light bulb to Thomas A. Edison, because he “gave” us light, he made it possible for us to have light everywhere, that we could see this message on the Internet… and because in his life He did not waste a single second to invent the lamp that provides us with artificial lighting. He failed 2000 times and he said "I have not failed even once, it has only been a 2000 step project."
I want to help you by asking a few questions: Can you clearly see what is preventing you from achieving what you set out to do? Do you really want to achieve it? Can you imagine what it would be like once achieved? What would you do if you werent afraid? I encourage you to write to me.
It is a time to reflect and I would like to ask you a question that is of the utmost importance, as the question that naturally follows is: How would you feel once you achieve your goals or achieve your dreams? It's up to you to see what your life would be like if you reached your goals.
Did you know that one of the reasons why we do not achieve our dreams is the sabotage that we do ourselves.
You know that when God created you He said: "Let us make the human being in our image and likeness" Genesis 1:26 (NIV) God deposited His spirit in you and that spirit is the winner.
Some people say they want to succeed in life and be successful, but at the same time we see how they sabotage their own projects in many ways, through procrastination, not having time or not having the resources, in short, limits are created, the limits are in your mind. Other people start taking the steps and when things don't go the way they want, we hear the famous phrase: “the important thing is that I tried” and they stay there. Trying it is not enough, you need to change your attitude towards life, it is time that you commit to your dreams, that you can generate them.
You have everything you need: you have God, you have life, you have gifts, talents, experiences, beauty and above all the desire to get ahead, do not sabotage yourself, do not reject the opportunity you have to learn. Just because you fail doesn't mean you are a failure. Failure is not your identity, your true identity is that you are who God says you are, you are created by God for great things.
I invite you to let go of your fears: the fear of growing up, the fear of changing, the fear of insecurity, the fear of loneliness, the fear of envy, the fear of what they will say, the fear of achieving, the fear of losing So many fears have left you paralyzed The call that I make to you today is that you can appropriate this word:
Because God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1: 7 (NASB)
Remember the following: you do not gain by regretting yourself, you do not gain by complaining, you do not gain by saying I am not capable, I cannot, I have not, poor me, life has been cruel to me, nobody loves me, you do not gain by being a victim, absolutely nothing you win with that kind of defeatist thinking. Change your thoughts, turn them into victory, start by looking at your strengths and your gifts, your abilities, what are the experiences you have had? How will you use those experiences to achieve your dreams? What are you good at?
What God has given you is for you to use, so that you can live well and can help others to live life to the fullest. Write me and tell me about your dreams, and how we can help you.
Lord, teach us to let go of fears and to see all that you can do in my life. Amen.
