Some time ago I wrote an article about Christmas. Someone wrote to me asking why I was writing something about Christmas, if Christmas was a holiday of pagan origin. I answered that person that although much of what the Christmas Party has today is of pagan origin, what we must always rescue is the approach that the Bible makes on the arrival of Jesus, the Savior to this earth. .

I think we do need to Refocus Christmas on its Biblical origin.

We cannot deny that the coming of the Lord Jesus in the form of a baby in Bethlehem was really the irruption of the Kingdom of Heaven to this world enslaved by lies, deception and desolation.

"Christmas waves a magic wand over the world, and because of that, everything is smoother and more beautiful."

Norman Vincent Peale (1898-1993) Christian preacher and writer.

The pagan aspects surrounding Christmas are subtly aimed at obscuring or pushing aside the central figure which is Jesus. Today stands out the figure of an old, plump, white beard, dressed in red, called Santa Claus or Saint Nicholas, or Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, or the bells or perhaps the tree or the gifts. Those are the subtleties in our society not to show the Real and Unique Character that stands out in the history of humanity.

The prophet Isaiah approached it like this: “For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us, and the principality on his shoulder. His name will be called "Wonderful Counselor", "Mighty God", "Eternal Father", "Prince of peace".

The length of his empire and peace will have no limit on the throne of David and on his kingdom, disposing and confirming it in judgment and in justice from now on and forever. Isaiah 9: 6,7.

The big Question we need to ask in this time and outside of this time is. Why did Jesus come to this world? For what purpose?

Someone could once answer ... To save us. Another would say to give us Life. There would be no shortage of those who asserted that to rescue us from sin.

All those answers are valid. But I think that who could answer that question with great precision is the Lord Jesus himself and here is his unequivocal answer.

"Then Pilate went back into the Praetorium, called Jesus and said to him," Are you the King of the Jews? Jesus answered him: –Do you say this on your own or have others told you about me?

Pilate answered him:
"Am I a Jew?" Your nation and the chief priests have handed you over to me. What have you done

Jesus answered:
My kingdom is not of this world; If my Kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; But my kingdom is not from here. Then Pilate said to him:

–Then, are you king?

Jesus answered:
You say that I am king. For this I was born and for this I have come into the world: to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice. John 18: 33-37.
Jesus says to Pilate: For this I was born and for this I have come into the world: To bear witness to the truth.

When DID the Lord make this statement?

When I was on trial. He was being judged, however the Lord passed from his role of judged to the role of witness.

In a court who gives testimony is who has to clarify the reality of what happened.

From the very Garden of Eden the truth of God has been questioned and doubted.

Satan in the form of a serpent could doubt the declaration of God when he told Eve ... With what God has told you. That is not true. What happens is that God does not want you to be like him.

Our society has sought the lie and rejected the truth.

We refocus Christmas when we say that Jesus came to bear witness to the truth.

THE TRUTH HAS BEEN SACRIFIED.

Not only yesterday, but also today the truth has been beaten, outraged, raped and hurt.

The prophet Isaiah said: "indeed he is made to stumble in the square." Isaiah 59:14.

"The truth is nowhere to be seen" Isaiah 59:15.

The prophet Jeremiah proclaimed this statement: "The truth is dead, it has been torn out of his mouth." Jeremiah 7:28.

The lie is proclaimed as a truth in Science, Philosophy, Ethics, The Church, The Community, The Family, The State, The law, The media, Art, Work and there is still an attempt to rewrite History.

The President of Iran (Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) says and assures that the Holocaust did not exist.

Science says that we come from the Monkey.

The Social order of God for the Family (a man and a woman) today is changed by the laws with same-sex marriages.

The famous Human Rights today rob Parents of the right to raise children in correct Discipline.

And we see that at Christmas. Today the central character is not Jesus, but Santa Claus, a reindeer, a Tree or a star.

The Apostle Paul says it in Romans when he said: "They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, worshiping and serving created beings before the creator." Romans 1:25.

We are going to refocus Christmas towards the sublime goal of Exalting the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, the one whom the prophet Isaiah described as The Prince of Peace.

As children we were grateful to those who filled our socks for Christmas. Why didn't we thank God for filling our socks with our feet?

Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874-1936) British writer.

Today we begin by being grateful to God for giving us his only Son so that he on the Cross would give us Life and demonstrate the truth. The Truth is him.

But let us also be grateful for all that God has given us.

Let us no longer listen to the lies that the Society tells us and open our hearts to be flooded with The Eternal Truth.

"You will know the truth ... And the truth will make you Free." Jesus.

May this Christmas the center of your life, your family, your Present and your Future be… The Lord Jesus Christ.
